Education
2002-2005 Western Carolina University Cullowhee, NC
· BSBA – Entrepreneurship
· Honors: cum laude.
1981–2002 Orange Coast College Costa Mesa, CA
· Associates of Arts Degree – Machine Technology
Commercial Software
Products
Cura Connect and Cura Manufacturing – created an automated software solution to accept a proton treatment plan from various systems, send the file from a hospital to a manufacturing facility, where the parts are automatically designed, tool paths are applied and the CNC programs are sent to a machine for manufacturing. All quality documents are automatically created and flow with the devices through the manufacture of each custom device set.
Galaxicus* – working as part of a team to build a MMO space empire building game with a Unity3d client
MegaWarsIV* – worked as part of a team to build a MMO space empire building game with a Silverlight client.
MegaWarsIII, The Rebirth* – a MMO space empire building game with a HTML client
OmegaPost* – 32 Axis post processor that works behind multiple CAM systems including SurfCAM and Unigraphics.
DezignWorks – A reverse engineering package I designed and another programmer wrote to the specification.
EGramPlus* – A full anti-SPAM solution; SMTP server, POP3 server, End user software and all the support items needed to fulfill the task.
COPious* – a Plug-in for Rhino, SurfCAM and MasterCAM. The Plug-in would take a cloud of points and convert it to a single NURB Surface.
Multi-DNC* – Direct Numerical Control program that could run up to 64 machines from one Personal Computer.
Simple-DNC* – Same as Multi-DNC but only ran two machines from one PC.
SURFCAM – A full CAD/CAM that runs most machine tools from 2-5 axis.
* Fully designed and written by myself.
Private Application
Program Interface (API or SDK)
Note: Most of my projects cannot be discussed in detail without breaking non-disclosures. Even mentioning the names of the Companies may violate the agreement. Here are three I can discuss: .decimal and the Air Force have public articles written.
.decimal – A full software solution to bridge the gap between CAT scan data and a part manufactured the same
day. The article written on the process is here: http://www.modernmachineshop.com/articles/100301.html (I am not mentioned by name but this solution was fully developed working with the customer and written by myself)
Roller Gear –The Inventor created a shape that was almost impossible to manufacture in a cost effective
environment. A method was created using a five axis CNC machine,
SurfCAM and a specialized API that allowed some simple input that resulted in
the correct machining path allowing the part to be machined quickly and
easily.
US Air Force – Contracted to write software to calculate the current position on a 12 Axis XRay Robot http://www.marietta-ndt.com/x-ray/large-real-time-systems/ and record the X-Ray image with the XYZ position to video tape using DirectX libraries.
Patents
Patent #20060055876 – Method of manufacturing a contact lens
Two API’s are at the Patent Pending stage – for Cura Medical Technologies
EGramPlus – Patent Pending – Status: Inactive
